CHRISTMAS IN THE ROANNAIS by Brian Franklin

Yes, it's that time of the year again!

At Purefrancenow we are gathering ourselves together for the festive season.

Lucy and I are looking forward to spending yet another Christmas and New Year at 'Le  Cuvage' in the Roannais.

We are hoping it will snow, so that Ellis, our 7 year old son, can try out his new snow board, and I can move on from the 'snow plough' to some slightly more dynamic ski-ing (I don't think!)  at either Loges de Garde or Chalmazel ski stations in the Monts de la Madeleine which are just only a 30 minute or 45 minute drive away, respectively.

Whatever the weather we will certainly enjoy a communal French-style Christmas with all our friends. There's no doubt, we'll be either busy entertaining or else enjoying the warmth of their gastronomic hospitality!.

We will also be preparing a traditional British Christmas meal for our French friends to taste and experience, along with the obligatory Christmas pudding, mince pies, cake, port and stilton!

I'm sure they'll just love it!****!!!

Anyway, we thought we would pass on our good wishes to all who have visited and used our website this year, and also to those that have rented or bought a French property through us.

From the tremendous feed back we have had it seems that everyone has been very pleased with the service and information we have given.

2007 has been an incredible year for us, particularly at 'Le Cuvage' where we had many different holiday guests renting Maison Deux for over 3 months during the summer. They all loved it!!

Not surprising really, because the size, style and quality of the place is exceptional.

Our newly installed 10 x 5 metre heated swimming pool was also very much appreciated by all our guests.

We certainly look forward to even greater success in 2008.

Visit our 'Property for Rent' section on this website for more details on 'Le Cuvage' and other rental opportunities.

In the meantime, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Joyeux Nöel et Bonne Année !Merry Christmas!!
