Maison Troisgros’ Colline du Colombier – C’est magnafique!

Colline du Colombier 2015

If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all and enjoy the gorgeous French countryside, it doesn’t get much better than La Colline du Colombier. La Colline is the brainchild of Michel Troisgros and his wife, Marie Troisgros. Indeed, Troisgros’ 3-star Michelin restaurant is in the nearby town of Roanne, and La Colline itself is a high-end bistro set in beautiful countryside, and an amazing barn conversion on the site of an old farm. Seeing is believing!

“The landscape of fields and valleys, which nothing disturbs, is magnificent. At the end of a track we came across an old abandoned farm in which we saw the possibility of creating an auberge. It was the starting point of an adventure. Together with the architect Patrick Bouchain, we have restored the main farm building, and have created inside it modern-day accommodation with all the original features retained. Then the idea of the Cadoles came about, entirely contemporary structures, which offer another way of experiencing the tranquillity and beauty of the site.”  Maison Troisgros
